Our install process
Step 1 — Excavation & Site Preparation
We begin by removing the existing surface and excavating the area to the proper depth. This includes clearing debris, prepping soil, and establishing accurate grades so water flows away from your home.
Step 2 — Foundation Installation
A geo-textile fabric is placed over the soil, followed by 4–6 inches of Class II compacted base (scope dependent), installed in multiple layers. This engineered foundation is what keeps your patio from settling, shifting, or cracking over time.
Step 3 — Bedding Layer
We apply a 1-inch layer of sharp-angled bedding sand and screed it to a perfectly even surface. This layer allows each paver to sit securely and level.
Step 4 — Paver Installation & Edge Restraints
Each paver is hand-laid and precision-cut to fit your chosen pattern. Around the perimeter, we install a concrete bond beam (edge restraint) to lock everything in place and prevent movement.
Step 5 — Compaction & Joint Sand
The patio is plate-compacted, then polymeric sand is swept into all joints and activated. This locks the stones together, helps stop weeds, and prevents washout from rain.
Step 6 — Final Cleaning & Walk-Through
We rinse, clean, and inspect the entire patio — ensuring proper waterflow and a flawless finish. Then we walk the project with you to confirm everything is perfect.
