Our 6-Step Artificial Turf Installation Process
Step 1 — Remove Existing Grass & Prepare the Area
We remove grass, roots, and debris, then grade the area so water drains properly. A clean base ensures long-term durability and prevents uneven settling.
Step 2 — Install the Crushed Aggregate Base
We spread and compact a deep layer of crushed rock to create a stable foundation. This prevents sinking, eliminates mud, and improves drainage after heavy rain or pet use.
Step 3 — Install Weed Barrier Fabric
A high-quality weed barrier layer is placed over the base to help prevent weeds from growing while still allowing water to drain quickly through the turf.
Step 4 — Roll Out, Shape & Cut the Turf
We lay out the turf, shape it to fit curves, edges, and borders, and make precise cuts for a clean, natural look. This step ensures the turf blends perfectly with your yard’s layout.
Step 5 — Seam & Secure the Turf
Sections of turf are joined using commercial-grade seam tape and adhesives to create a smooth, invisible connection. Once the seams are bonded, we secure the perimeter and key anchor points using 6-inch non-galvanized nails, which hold the turf firmly in place without rusting or rising over time. This ensures your lawn stays tight, flat, and secure — even with active kids, large dogs, and daily use.
Step 6 — Apply Infill & Groom the Turf
Your chosen infill (silica sand, cooling infill, or pet-friendly infill) is brushed into the turf. This helps blades stand upright, keeps the turf cooler, and improves comfort for kids and pets. We finish by power-brooming the turf for a clean, natural look.
